- The telephone company WILL NOT maintain the equipment to anything above
- voice requirements, although they sometimes WILL respond to your FAX line
- needs. There is an upgrade of your switching unit which can be done, for a
- price (about $75 here, in Louisiana) and all the rest is up to you. 26,400
- isn't a bad rate, BTW, but if needs be, hook onto the pair of wires where
- they enter your house. If transfer rates climb any, the problem is probably
- in your houses internal wiring. Good luck...
