  14.    The telephone company WILL NOT maintain the equipment to anything above
  15. voice requirements, although they sometimes WILL respond to your FAX line
  16. needs. There is an upgrade of your switching unit which can be done, for a
  17. price (about $75 here, in Louisiana) and all the rest is up to you. 26,400
  18. isn't a bad rate, BTW, but if needs be, hook onto the pair of wires where
  19. they enter your house. If transfer rates climb any, the problem is probably
  20. in your houses internal wiring. Good luck...
